Cup & Vane Wind Sensor

Cup and vane sensors are the traditional, proven way to measure wind: a three-cup rotor tracks wind speed while a vane follows direction. Throvin’s range includes standalone speed and direction sensors, an electric-contact recorder with an indoor indicating unit, and complete monitoring stations with display, alarms and wired or GPRS communication. Mechanical sensing is simple, repairable and independent of measurement electronics at the sensing head, which is why cup-and-vane instruments remain the default choice for meteorological stations, schools, industrial sites and agricultural monitoring around the world.
